Is it just me or has it gotten much harder to find time to blog? Facebook is now like an abbreviated blog, but you don't get the time to really fill in the details.

Update!
Living Situation:
So we are living in Nelson Bay. We found a unit near the beach. Even though we both work an hour or more away we decided to stay here for 2 reasons,
1. We love living near the beach
2. There was really nothing else unless we wanted to move inland to one of the crappy little towns there.
We JUST moved and are still trying to get things like fridge, dryer etc. We did get a washer last night.

Life on the Road

This last week has been crazy, Last Wednesday we packed up our basic essentials and drove to New South Wales. We stopped off at a friends house, pulled out the computers and had a LAN party. Dan is the leader of our World of Warcraft guild and it was raid night so we raided! It was great to see old friends again but OMG it was SOOO COLD!! Good News!

My life is in upheaval, but its a good upheaval.  Next week we are moving to New South Wales for at least 10 weeks. My husband has a job offer there. Were keeping our place here in Queensland, since we will come back after unless we REALLY like it down there. Here is the best part. I don't have to work the next 10 weeks!!! :D
 My job is basically to train hard, make healthy meals for my husband and Father-in-law and keep the place clean, blog, maybe vlog?

Quick check in. Even though I knew my weigh wasn't going to be great, because I ate off plan since this week was our anniversary I went ahead and did it. I ate more than I should have yadda yadda.

Back Report!

So I have had a good week of rest, getting my spine scanned and some physiotherapy and I am feeling much better. I had to work a full day today and I was really worried how I was going to get through but I did very well. I have been RELIGIOUS about doing my physio exercises., and the little things I was doing before I went to the physio, like spinal decompression by hanging, and having Dan drag me around on the tiles by my head ( I kid you not) made a difference and she said so.

I took the panadene with codeine and valium together last night after my husband told me he read the wiki on all such things and it would be fine. WOW! Best thing I could have ever done. NO position hurt I was happy no matter which way I flopped and I just felt painless and calm, a feeling I have not felt in AGES. It was truly awesome lol.

This Machine is Broken

What a freaking week!!  I did legs on Monday and felt good, did HIIT on the recumbent bike Tuesday and Wednesday, took Thursday off, Friday went in to do legs and was doing lunges and felt a twinge in my lower back. I hurt it so bad in fact, I could barely walk, could barely sit, and driving was quite painful.  So I am once again off work, and off the gym for at least a month. My back is now messed up from top to bottom. I  am getting injured over and over since that sled hit me.  Sitting hur...

Ouch!!

I was at the gym about 2 weeks ago doing legs. On the leg press, resting between sets, sitting on the seat leaning forward, when the sled came off the rack and hit me on the top of my head, as I was leaned over and had my head in my hands, the sled had 380 lbs on it. It stunned me and I felt an initial lightening like jolt down my spine.

When did it get so difficult to blog? This last week I have been exhausted, sore and grumpy.

I have kicked my training up a notch this week and I have actually been doing my extra cardio. I am exhausted when I get home, but I have my alarm set to take my Dialene and then another set to remind me to do cardio. For my 2nd cardio I have been doing 20 min of bodyweight circuits, these are kicking my ass.

This has been a tiring week!  Pretty much when I get home from work I sit on my big recliner like a zombie, frequently just falling asleep there.

Moving Sucks!

I am still not fully moved. I have a full work week and just no energy after training and working to pack anything. I may have to wait till this weekend. The phone and internet won't be hooked up til the end of this week if I'm lucky or the the beginning of next week, which is why I am not in a super big hurry.

My workouts this week have been great. I leg pressed 331 lbs last week and 341 lbs this week, working my way up to 400! I am really working hard on getting all my cardio in.

Brisbane Floods

You may have been hearing about the flooding going in Queensland Australia. Its just incredible the amount of damage that has been done. Its amazing, terrifying and heartbreaking.

 I went to the store last night and all the meat, fruits and veggies, milk, bread and many other things are COMPLETELY GONE. I was able to get a few dozen eggs and some cottage cheese and oats.






The flooded area in Queensland is the size of Germany and France!




The Brisbane river burst its banks and flooded the CBD.

Day 4/100

Ugh. I can go about 4 days low carb before I start getting really cranky, bursting into tears randomly, and feeling exhausted. Today is that day. Tomorrow I get some extra carbs in the form of oats, brown rice or sweet potato.

This morning I got up at 4 am but could not get moving, so instead of going to the gym I did an ab circuit at home followed by 60 min of intervals on the trails. It was wet and there were some large puddles but not as bad as I thought it would be.

Burpee Slaughter!!

And slaughter it did!


My time: 23:13 HOLY CRAP I was sucking wind so hard LOL.

 Give this a shot and see what your time is. I did not have a sandbag so I used a 22 lb dumbbell. I really should have had a heavier weight but thats the largest preset I have. I did not modify the burpees but I did slow down at the end, I made sure to do the jump at the end of each one. I'll do this workout again in a week or 2 and try to beat my time.
